On November 30th, 2009, the norm IN 954-1 general principles of conception of the parts of control systems relating to security giving presumption of compliance with directive schemes 98/37 will be abrogated. After three years of co-habitation the norm IN 954-1 gives its place up in norm IN ISO 13849-1 who will become on November 30th, 2009 only norm to respect requirements of directive schemes 2006 / 42 / this.
This change is aimed at bringing a level of additional security. IN ISO 13849-1 add to the qualitative approach of EN954-1 a quantitative dimension based on the reliability of Safety-related parts of has control system (SRP / CS) and their likelihood of fault.
She offers, besides, an analysis of the cycle of life for the software of security.
The domain of application of IN ISO 13849-1 includes the parts of control system linked to the security SRP / CS whatever is used technology (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical) and mention special requirements for SRP / CS equipped with programmable electronic systems.
For the constructors and the concepteurs of machines, this evolution is going to call into question some established rules of conception, (use of electronic component, complete revision of safety chains). Furthermore to help all actors to understand and to appropriate this normative frame of reference, DEKRA INDUSTRIAL works in close cooperation with COPREC EQUIPMENT and INRS to define a common methodology.
Aware of stake, and difficulty in appropriating this norm, all collaborators of DEKRA Industrial are already mobilised for accompanying you and allowing you to benefit from all advantages of this norm.
